Our design studio is a PC-based system and is able to accept artwork via email, CD-ROM or floppy disk.

  • To the left is a list of graphics packages and file formats we can use to accurately reproduce your artwork onto film. Images need to be vectorised graphics created or exported to one of the formats shown.
  • Artwork containing fonts should be converted to curves/paths/outlines or alternatively a copy of the font used can be supplied.
  • Line weights need to be a minimum of 0.25mm thick.
  • Due to the etching process, designs containing more than one colour must have a break of at least 1mm between colours. Aluprint, Surface and Undersurface print processes do not require a break between colours.
  • The following file formats can be received but may not be used when creating films: Jpeg/tiff/giff/bitmap/word
excel/publisher. These files may need re-creating which will incur further costs.
  • If your preferred file format is not listed please contact our studio to discuss.
  • Any designs containing scans or imported files are to be sent separately or embedded into the artwork.
  • Scans should be solid black and of a reasonable resolution (300dpi recommended) - please contact our studio if you are unsure.
  • Unfortunately, due to the nature of our processes the following guides apply:

No halftones unless they are a maximum pitch of 50dpi
No blends of two or more colours
No tints - solid colours only
